These four pictures were
in Great Aunt Connie's collection of pictures. The furniture is of the
same style as the Craftman-Mission style house that Aunt Connie and Samantha
were living in during the 1905-1909 time period. These may be the
interiors of their house during that time. The first two pictures
are of the living room taken at different times probably at least a few
months apart. Do any of you remember seeing any of this furniture in the
family?
1. View of the
living room taken from the dining room. Aunt Connie wrote on the back the
following:
Things made by Mr Cass
Magazine holder
Table
Lamp on table
candelabra
Clock on bookcase and bookcase
straddle chair
two pieces of hammered brass on table
2. A second picture
taken of the living room from the dining room probably taken at least a
few months after the first one. They apparently had gas lighting
rather than electricity. Notice the gas hose going from the gas
chandalier down to the gas table lamp below.
3. Looking into the
dining room from the living room.
4. Picture of the
secretary desk in the dining room. On the back, Aunt Connie wrote:
Hall tree and seat
bookcase and straddle
chair
